Jamie Carragher has hailed Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, and has compared him to one of the club’s greatest ever managers. The Reds boss has already established himself as one of the best managers in world football, as shown by winning FIFA’s Best Men’s Coach of the Year award in 2019. The former defender has compared Klopp to Anfield icon Bill Shankly, saying that Reds fans look to what the German has to say just as they did with Shankly many years ago. “Like Shankly, the supporters look to what Klopp says about every situation – and he always finds the right words,” Carragher is quoted saying in The Mirror. “Jurgen claims he doesn’t prepare what he’s going to say, but I don’t know if I believe him. He has a great ability to communicate, he has this special quality to say the right thing. “He brings people with him – and makes people believe in him.
