KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Eric Bienemy continues to say all the right things. In an interview with the NFL Network, the Kansas City Chiefs’ Offensive Coordinator spoke candidly about his future.“The only thing that I know is to grind,” Bienemy said. “And when the timing is right…it’s right. But it has to be a great fit,” he finished.
Bienemy was a presenter at Monday’s NFL QB Coaching Summit, held virtually due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The Black College Football Hall of Fame partners with the NFL annually to host the event, with the goal of increasing diversity in the coaching ranks at pro and college levels. Many consider the Chiefs OC the leading minority candidate for a head coaching vacancy. Bieniemy spoke highly of the culture built in Kansas City.“In order to get a job you have to make sure you’re doing your job. So I’m blessed and fortunate to be in the position that I’m in,” he said.
