Boxscore: Calgary: (May 7, 2020) The Calgary Stampeders announced today the signing of former National Football League and South Carolina running back Brandon Wilds.  In 2016, Wilds signed as an undrafted free agent with the Atlanta Falcons before agreeing to a medical release. In total, he spent time with the Falcons, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers recording 16 carries for 42 yards and two receptions for 20 yards in seven career games.  During his senior season with the South Carolina Gamecocks, Wilds led the team in rushing with 567 yards in nine games, all starts, including three 100-yard games. Over a 42 game game college career over five years, Wilds amassed 1,844 yards on 379 carries finding the end zone 13 times. In addition, proving himself to be a capable receiver with 59 receptions for 540 yards and three scores.  A former three-star recruit out of Blythewood High in Blythewood, South Carolina, Wilds garnered national attention when he became the first running back to rush for 1000 yards receiving scholarship offers from Arkansas, Illinois, Maryland, East Carolina and South Carolina. Wilds signed with the XFL’s Tampa Bay Vipers on March 9th three days before the league ceased play due to Covid-19.     Brandon WildsRunning backCollege: South CarolinaHeight: 6.00Weight: 220Born: July 22, 1993Birthplace: Chapin, SC American
