Barça is thought to have valued Griezmann at €100m and PSG’s evaluation of Neymar is somewhere around the €150m region.
The Catalan club is willing to let Griezmann go after just one season to fund priority targets Neymar and Inter Milan’s Argentinian striker Lautaro Martinez amid the new financial constraints placed on them by the implications of the Coronavirus pandemic.
For that reason, a straight cash deal for Neymar is certainly off the table for Barcelona. Last week, club captain Lionel Messi announced that he and his teammates had agreed to a 70% pay cut to help secure the club’s financial situation.
Messi was one of the numerous key players disappointed that the club failed in its efforts to re-sign Neymar and instead, the opted to move for Griezmann in a €120m deal.
If Barça pulls off audacious moves for both Neymar and Martínez, Griezmann might fall down the striking pecking order at the Nou Camp.
29-year-old Griezmann has scored eight goals in 26 LaLiga appearances this season, plus two more in the Champions League and four in other cup competitions.
