McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Tuesday

For Tuesday, McClure is high on Rockets guard James Harden at $11,700 on FanDuel and $13,000 on DraftKings. Harden leads the NBA in scoring (37.7 ppg) and he’s continued to fine-tune his game, with his scoring averages rising every season since 2013-14 and his eFG% rising every year since 2014-15.

The former MVP has 15 games with 40 points or more this season and five games with at least 50 points and he’s also averaging 7.5 assists and 6.2 rebounds per game On Tuesday, Harden will play against the Grizzlies in a matchup where the total is a whopping 238. And with Russell Westbrook (rest) getting the night off, Harden’s upside is even higher. Earlier in the season, Harden dropped 44 points on the Grizzlies and also had 10 rebounds, six assists, two steals and a blocked shot to return over 6x on FanDuel and DraftKings.

Part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy Tuesday includes rostering Clipper guard Lou Williams ($6,300 on FanDuel, $7,500 on DraftKings), who has returned at least 5.7x on FanDuel in each of the last six games he’s played. At 33, Williams continues to be one of the best scoring guards off the bench, averaging 19.8 points per game this season. He’s also been a more willing distributor this season, averaging a career-high 6.3 assists per game.

And in the instances where he’s been moved into the starting lineup, he’s been an even more effective scorer and passer. Williams is averaging 27.4 points and 7.0 assists per game when he’s been a starter and he’s expected to be in the starting five on Tuesday as the Clippers take on the Cavaliers.
