🇿🇲 Lwandamina defends his players after loss to Kabwe Warriors

Zesco United head coach George Lwandamina has jumped to the defense of his players following Wednesday’s 2-1 loss at the hands of Kabwe Warriors in a rescheduled encounter.
Lwandamina told Futaa Zambia in a post-match interview that his team played well despite losing. He believes its all just part of the beautiful game of football.
“It was a tough game and both teams played well in the first place. In the second half, we got the proceedings though we conceded the first goal. We pushed for an equalizer though in the added time we allowed them to come back otherwise the boys played well,” he said.
” It’s just football, That’s how football is. If you saw how they played in the second half they really pushed. The boys are okay,” he added.
Heritier Nkoko scored a last-minute header to secure a 2-1 win for the Magnificent People’s team. Jimmy Ndhlovu opened the scores early in the second half before Jesse Jackson Were could draw Zesco United level in the 82nd minute.
The loss means Zesco United have now only managed one win in their last five games and remains fourth on the log with 34 points, Three adrift of log leaders Nkana.
