  Adrian

Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian reacts after penalty shootout win

Despite his UEFA Super Cup heroics, we can’t see Adrian getting a FIFA 20 upgrade. FIFA 19 rating: 78 Predicted FIFA 20 rating: 78     Trent Alexander-Arnold

Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool during the game against Sevilla

Alexander-Arnold has proven himself to be one of the best full-backs in the world, so his FIFA 20 rating needs to be a lot higher than his FIFA 19 one. A significant upgrade is due. FIFA 19 rating: 78 Predicted FIFA 20 rating: 83   Joe Gomez

Despite having his injury problems in 2018/19, Gomez’s 76 overall rating on FIFA 19 is far too low and needs a big upgrade in FIFA 20. He’s now Liverpool’s first choice central defender, along with Virgil van Dijk, and deserves a FIFA rating that demonstrates that. FIFA 19 rating: 76 Predicted FIFA 20 rating: 80

Lovren is now Liverpool’s fourth choice central defender, after having a top-start season. We predict his rating to stay the same. FIFA 19 rating: 81 Predicted FIFA 20 rating: 81     Joel Matip

Joel Matip of Liverpool celebrates

Matip had an excellent season for Liverpool, playing a crucial starting role in the Reds’ success in 2018/19. His 81 overall rating should be increased. FIFA 19 rating: 81 Predicted FIFA 20 rating: 82   Virgil van Dijk

Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk and match referee Stephaine Frappart

This is a big call, but Virgil van Dijk’s rating could hit the 90 mark in FIFA 20, due to his incredible performances over the last 12 months, joining Ramos and Godin as the only defenders at this level currently, on FIFA 19. If his rating does hit 90, it’s well deserved in our view. FIFA 19 rating: 88 Predicted FIFA 20 rating: 90

The incredible rise of Hoever has taken everyone by surprise, even FIFA 19, as the Dutchman wasn’t even on Ultimate Team last season. Despite his young age, he should get a decent rating. FIFA 19 rating: N/A Predicted FIFA 20 rating: 68   Andy Robertson

Along with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Robertson is now one of the best full-backs in the world and deserves a rating that reflects that in FIFA 20. FIFA 19 rating: 83 Predicted FIFA 20 rating: 85   Fabinho

Liverpool’s Fabinho scores in the penalty shoot out

Due to his previous successes with Monaco, Fabinho’s rating was already quite high, but his performances for Liverpool in 2018/29 could result in an upgrade.   FIFA 19 rating: 85 Predicted FIFA 20 rating: 86   James Milner

Wijnaldum proved to be a key player for Liverpool in 2018/19 and really stepped up, particularly in the Champions League. Surely 82 is too low? FIFA 19 rating: 82 Predicted FIFA 20 rating: 83     Naby Keita

Keita had a decent season, but he had his fair share of injuries. We expect him to have a better 2019/20 season for the Reds, but not a FIFA 20 upgrade. FIFA 19 rating: 83 Predicted FIFA 20 rating: 83
