Flower Mound 38, Plano East 10
The Jaguars continued their winning ways on Friday night, defeating Plano East by four touchdowns.
Flower Mound led 7-0 at the end of the first quarter on a 24-yard touchdown pass from Blake Short to Carson Winters.
Short connected with Parker Clark (10-yards) and Reid Touchstone (30-yards) on touchdown passes in the second quarter and led 21-3 at the half.
Bert Auburn kicked a 37-yard field goal and Pierce Hudgens scored on a 4-yard scamper in the third quarter, and Short and Winters hooked up on a 17-yard pass to finish the game out.
Flower Mound (2-0) will host Prosper at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13.
Argyle 49, Waco La Vega 35
The Eagles improved to 2-0 on Friday night with a 14-point victory over Waco La Vega.
Argyle combined for 513 yards of total offense, including a 206-yard, 3-touchdown performance from running back Tito Byce.
Bo Hogeboom passed for 237 yards and 4 touchdowns, and Jasper Lott caught two touchdown passes in the game.
Argyle jumped out to a 28-7 first quarter lead on the defending Division I state champions and never looked back.
The Eagles will host Tyler Chapel Hill at 7 p.m. on Sept. 13.
Marcus 26, McKinney Boyd 19
The Marauders rebounded from a tough week one loss to defeat McKinney Boyd on Friday night and improve to 1-1.
Garrett Nussmeier hit Tyler Schott (33 yards) and Ty’son Edwards (63 yards) on touchdown passes in the first half, and Jacob Scott kicked a 28-yard field goal, as Marcus led 17-0 heading into the break.
Boyd came back in the third quarter, narrowing their deficit to four points on two touchdown runs, but Marcus answered in the fourth when Nussmeier connected with J. Michael Sturdivant on a 35-yard touchdown pass.
Nussmeier finished the game with 342 yards passing.
Scott kicked a 38-yard field goal to the seal the victory for the Marauders.
Marcus will next host Waxahachie at 7 p.m. on Sept. 13.
Frisco Legacy Christian 45, Coram Deo Academy 21
The struggles continued for Coram Deo on Friday night, as it trailed 35-0 at halftime and was not able to mount a comeback.
Peyton Inderlied completed touchdown passes of 8 and 65 yards to Jack Herrington in the second half of the game.
Herrington finished with 196 yards receiving and two touchdowns for the Lions.
Inderlied also broke a 64-yard touchdown run for Coram Deo in the game, combining for 319 all purpose yards.
Coram Deo will host Shelton at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 13 in its next game.
Celina 67, Liberty Christian 35
Liberty Christian came up short for the second straight week, losing to Celina by a score of 67-35 in Celina.
The Warriors will play at 7 p.m. on Sept. 13 at Brock for their next game.
Lewisville 55, Arlington Sam Houston 14
Fresh off a win over North Mesquite, the Fighting Farmers improved to 2-0 on the season after defeating Arlington Sam Houston.
