Brandon Beane is hoping that lightning will strike twice for him in regards to Thanksgiving Day football games against the Dallas Cowboys. In Upgrading, the second episode of season two of Bills Embedded, the Buffalo Bills GM is shown receiving the team’s 2019 NFL schedule from co-owner Kim Pegula over the phone. After running through the early slate of Buffalo’s games, Pegula reveals that the Bills will be playing the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. Since 1966, the Cowboys have been almost a yearly staple on Thanksgiving Day. Beane reacted with excitement upon hearing the news and explained to Pegula why he liked the matchup.“Ooh, Thanksgiving. Love it! Well you know what? The last time I spent Thanksgiving in Dallas we went to the Super Bowl.”Beane’s memory served him correct. Back in 2015, Beane’s then-undefeated Carolina Panthers entered Dallas to take on the Cowboys. Carolina’s defense forced three Tony Romo interceptions and the unit held Darren McFadden to just 11 yards on 10 carries. New Bills safety Kurt Coleman opened the scoring that day with a pick-six interception on the third snap of the game. The Panthers would move to 11-0 following a 33-14 win and finish the regular season with a 15-1 record. Their run ended in a Super Bowl 50 loss to the Denver Broncos.A Super Bowl LIV appearance for the Bills would send shock waves through the NFL, but it’s possible that Buffalo has similar success against Dallas on Thanksgiving Day. Buffalo has a quarterback who has the same type of athleticism as Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. They also feature the league’s No. 2 defense from one season in ago in yards allowed. If Buffalo’s defense can get after Dak Prescott and Josh Allen can move the ball with his arm and legs, Buffalo could leave Dallas with a win in 2019. Josh Allen finally reveals GIF he sent Buffalo Bills GM Brandon Beane following free agent signings After Beane made a flurry of offensive signings in free agency, Josh Allen sent the GM a GIF to show his appreciation. The exact GIF was revealed in the first episode of Buffalo Bills Embedded.
