Somewhat surprisingly, Jurgen Klopp hasn’t made any additions to his squad this summer.Liverpool’s narrow missing out of the Premier League title, which they were pipped to by Manchester City, has left many Reds fans believing they must bring in reinforcements if they’re to end their long wait for a league title.Wright isn’t worried by his old side’s inactivity in the transfer window and believes Klopp is scouring the market for the players he believes will take to the team to the next level,“He knows what he wants,” Wright told the Daily Star on Sunday. “He’s put a fantastic side together.“We’ve got a small squad, it’s about keeping them fit.“I think it would be nice for all of us on the outside to see some players going in.“A goal-scoring midfielder might be good and maybe another striker so you can change things around.”Klopp won his first trophy as Liverpool manager last month, with his side winning the Champions League final in Madrid with a 2-0 win over Tottenham.Wright reckons Klopp’s delivering of Liverpool’s sixth European Cup has silenced his detractors and has put his troops in good stead to mount another challenge for the Premier League title.“People were talking about Jurgen Klopp saying that he was a nearly man and he needed to win something but he’s won the biggest prize in Europe,” Wright told the Daily Star Sunday.“That stands them in good stead.“These players he’s got will be looking forward to this season.“I don’t think that team needs too much motivation, although the manager is full of enthusiasm. They’ll want to go on and win the league.“Man City are probably shading it because of the squad depth but Liverpool are putting that right by signing young players.“Man City had a few injuries to key players, we didn’t have those so we do need to strengthen.”Liverpool kick off the new Premier League season on August 9, welcoming Championship winners Norwich City to Anfield.
