KOLKATA: Mohun Bagan’s finance secretary Debashis Dutta hit back at All India Football Federation’s indication that it is extremely difficult to implement the suggestions made in a joint Fifa and AFC report in February 2018.

“What were you doing for over more than one year then? If you feel that the recommendations of the report are hard to implement, why did you not inform Fifa then and waste so much time? ” he questioned. “AIFF has been talking about a three-year window. But, we have nothing in writing about this period. All discussions so far have been verbal.”

Minerva Punjab’s Ranjit Bajaj remarked “that if nothing has been done in last 17 months, how can we trust about next three years”. “The report needs to be released and followed,” he asserts.

“The Master Rights Agreement was not discussed with the stakeholders. This report should be discussed with the stakeholders and roadmap needs to be worked out,” said VC Praveen, president of Gokulam Kerala FC.
