Astute Milwaukee Bucks fans noticed Toronto rap star and Raptors superfan Drake was much calmer during Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals, when Toronto eliminated the Milwaukee Bucks from the postseason, 100-94.
It stood to reason that someone, either from the NBA or Raptors organization, had asked Drake to tone it down. That is exactly what happened.
Michele Steele of ESPN wrote that an NBA spokesman indeed told the Raptors that Drake had to tone down his antics. He became a national story in Game 4 after his antics that extended to giving Raptors coach Nick Nurse a brief shoulder massage on the sideline.
Drake, of course, got the last laugh, and the Raptors will be playing the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals, beginning Thursday. But salty Bucks fans who were sick of seeing Drake go crazy got their wish of seeing the NBA step in.
