Melbourne City attacker Jamie Maclaren concedes uncertainty surrounding the future of coach Warren Joyce is doing the club no favours. Joyce’s contract at City expires at the end of the season and he’s been linked to a return to Manchester United or even a move to Wellington Phoenix. Maclaren admitting the situation isn’t ideal, particularly for players that are also out of contract. “Players want to know who’s in charge,” Maclaren said on Wednesday. “But at the end of the day, the manager comes in with a smile on his face. For us, there are players off-contract as well – it’s not just the manager. “Some players don’t even know where they are going to be. We all need to be on the same train…to get to finals.” City face Brisbane Roar on Friday with the club boasting just one win from their past eight matches.
